Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality med/surgical nursing care to a diverse patient population on a 30-bed unit
• Monitor remote telemetry and respond promptly to changes in patients' cardiac status
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while managing patient ratios effectively
• Document clinical care and assessments accurately in Meditech EMR to ensure continuity
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate procedures and post-op care (e.g., cholecystectomy, appendectomy)
• Act independently and confidently when making clinical judgments; escalate concerns as needed
• Deliver outstanding customer service to patients and families, creating a calm and reassuring experience

Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in the state of Colorado (or compact/multi-state license as applicable)
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience (explicit requirement)
• Hands-on experience with telemetry monitoring and patient ratio management
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR (documented experience preferred)
• Strong communication and customer service skills — outgoing with a can-do attitude
• Preferred: surgical experience, mom/baby experience and NRP exposure (nice-to-have skills)

Knowledge & Skills

• Med/Surg nursing best practices and post-op patient management
• Telemetry interpretation and remote tele monitoring workflows
• Proficiency with Meditech electronic medical record system
• Excellent patient assessment, prioritization, and delegation skills
• Comfort working independently or with a single co-RN while accessing resources as needed
• Strong interpersonal skills for patient/family education and teamwork
