Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to patients across the lifespan in a fast-paced ED setting
• Assess, triage and prioritize patients rapidly using best-practice emergency protocols
• Administer medications and perform interventions per ACLS/PALS/BLS guidelines
• Perform trauma and neurological assessments, including NIHSS when indicated
• Document clinical findings, treatments and patient responses accurately and timely
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care
• Participate in Trinity skills checklist and specialty-specific competency testing to maintain excellence
• Support patient safety and quality improvement initiatives in the emergency department

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure with license/certificate verification required
• Current BLS certification
• Current PALS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification
• NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale) competency
• Completion of Trinity Skills Checklist and Trinity specialty-specific competency testing as required
• Must meet personal health requirements: MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, COVID-19 vaccine, influenza vaccine, 2-step PPD or IGRA, Trinity color vision, physical/health statement
• Successful Trinity 10-panel drug screen and fit test

Knowledge & Skills

• Emergency department assessment, triage and prioritization skills
• Proficiency in ACLS, PALS and BLS protocols
• Trauma nursing principles (TNCC) and NIH Stroke Scale competence
• Ability to work effectively in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to coordinate care across disciplines
• Willingness to complete unit-specific competency testing and maintain required certifications
