Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality respiratory care and interventions for adult and pediatric patients
• Manage ventilators and advanced airway equipment with attention to safety and best practices
• Perform assessments, monitor respiratory status, and adjust treatments based on patient response
• Deliver emergency respiratory interventions when needed, including airway management
• Document treatments, patient progress, and equipment changes accurately and timely
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient care plans
• Participate in Trinity specialty competency testing and complete required skills checklists
• Support infection control practices, including fit testing and adherence to PPE protocols

Qualifications

• Active Respiratory Therapy license (License/Certificate Verification required)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Ability to pass Trinity specialty competency testing and Trinity skills checklist
• Must meet facility health requirements: fit test, drug screen, immunizations (COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Varicella, Tdap), and 2-step PPD or IGRA
• Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a team-first attitude

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in ventilator management and oxygen therapy
• Skilled in arterial blood gas (ABG) collection and interpretation
• Solid knowledge of airway management, suctioning, and aerosol therapies
• Accurate clinical documentation and electronic charting skills
• Infection prevention practices and ability to pass fit testing
• Comfortable with competency-based testing and ongoing skills validation
