Roles & Responsibilities

• Operate CT equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images with care and precision
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care before, during and after scans
• Follow and enforce radiation safety and ALARA principles to protect patients and staff
• Prepare patients for procedures, obtain accurate histories and ensure proper positioning
• Document procedures and maintain accurate electronic medical records and imaging logs
• Participate in Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and license verification processes
• Complete required health screenings and maintain immunizations and fit testing
• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists and clinical teams to deliver excellent outcomes

Qualifications

• BLS certification required
• License/certificate verification required (valid state radiologic technologist credentials expected)
• Ability to complete Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing
• Willingness to work nights, weekends and holidays as required by the assignment
• Must be able to complete pre-employment health requirements including fit test and drug screen
• Up-to-date immunizations and health screenings as listed in the job packet

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of CT imaging protocols and cross-sectional anatomy
• Radiation safety practices and quality assurance
• Patient positioning, care and contraindication screening
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and imaging documentation
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team
• Ability to follow infection control practices and respirator evaluation procedures
