Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered nursing care with professionalism and warmth
• Assess patients regularly and implement individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses clearly in the medical record
• Educate patients and families about care plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns appropriately
• Contribute to a positive unit environment by supporting colleagues and sharing knowledge

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York, or eligibility to obtain
• Current BLS certification; ACLS and PALS preferred depending on unit
• Previous clinical experience in acute care, med-surg, or related specialty is a plus
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting
• Ability to pass credentialing and background checks for per diem/contract assignments

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid assessment and clinical monitoring skills
• Medication administration and IV therapy competence
• Comfortable with electronic health record documentation
• Patient education and discharge planning abilities
• Teamwork, time management, and adaptability in changing situations
• Basic familiarity with infection control and safety protocols
