Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate ICU care to critically ill patients
- Continuously assess and monitor patient status using advanced cardiac and critical care monitoring
- Administer medications and titrate infusions safely and accurately
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute care plans
- Respond swiftly to emergencies and participate in resuscitation and rapid response efforts
- Maintain clear, timely documentation and complete required competency testing (Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Skills Checklist)
- Adhere to infection control protocols and complete required health screenings and immunizations
Qualifications
- Active RN license with verification (state licensure required for practice)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- TNCC and NIHSS certifications listed as preferred/required
- Completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist
- Ability to pass Fit Test, Trinity 10 Panel Drug Screen, and required immunizations (COVID-19, MMR, Hep B, Influenza, Varicella, Tdap) and TB screening (2-step PPD or IGRA)
- Comfort working in a fast-paced critical care environment and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
Knowledge & Skills
- Critical care and ICU patient assessment and management
- Familiarity with ventilator management and advanced monitoring (typical ICU skills)
- Strong medication administration and titration practices
- Effective communication and teamwork in high-acuity settings
- Proficiency with electronic health records and accurate documentation
- Ability to complete specialty competency testing and skills validation
