Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients including assistance with ADLs (bathing, dressing, toileting)
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
• Assist with patient mobility and transfers while following safety protocols
• Document care thoroughly and maintain clear communication with nurses and interdisciplinary team
• Support infection control practices and maintain a clean, safe patient environment
• Build trusting relationships with patients and their families to improve comfort and outcomes

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification and active registry in New York State
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
• Comfort working night shifts and providing hands-on patient care
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Aide training program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in basic patient care, ADLs, and safe patient handling
• Accurate vital signs measurement and clinical observation
• Familiarity with charting and documentation best practices
• Knowledge of infection control and patient safety procedures
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Compassionate patient interaction and strong teamwork
