Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess, triage and prioritize patients rapidly on presentation to the emergency department
• Deliver evidence-based emergency nursing care including resuscitation and stabilization
• Perform critical procedures and support ACLS/PALS/TNCC-guided interventions when needed
• Collaborate with physicians, techs and ancillary staff for efficient, patient-centered care
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation and handoffs
• Participate in Trinity specialty competency testing and maintain clinical skills
• Maintain required health screenings and immunizations per facility policy

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Iowa) or ability to obtain state licensure
• BLS certification required
• PALS and ACLS certifications required
• TNCC and NIHSS certifications required
• Completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing as part of onboarding
• Ability to pass Trinity skills checklist and required health screenings

Knowledge & Skills

• Emergency triage and rapid patient assessment
• Resuscitation and acute stabilization techniques
• Trauma protocols and urgent procedural support
• Clinical competency testing and skill validation processes
• Strong communication with patients, families and interdisciplinary teams
• Adherence to infection control and occupational health requirements
