Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality critical care nursing for adult ICU patients, delivering compassionate, evidence-based care
• Continuously assess and monitor patient status, including cardiac, respiratory and neurological changes
• Manage ventilators, infusion pumps and advanced monitoring equipment with precision and safety
• Lead timely interventions during emergencies and code situations following ACLS protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists and the interdisciplinary team to create and implement individualized care plans
• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in the electronic health record
• Complete Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and skills checklists to maintain clinical excellence
• Support bedside education for patients, families and junior staff, fostering a culture of learning

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license (able to complete license/certificate verification)
• Critical care/ICU experience preferred (ability to provide high-acuity nursing care)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• TNCC and NIHSS certifications required
• Ability to complete required health screenings: Fit Test, drug screen, immunizations (Tdap, MMR, Hep B, Varicella), TB test or IGRA, influenza and COVID-19 vaccine as required
• Willingness to complete Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical thinking and rapid clinical decision-making in high-acuity settings
• Proficiency with ICU equipment: ventilators, hemodynamic monitors and infusion devices
• Familiarity with ACLS algorithms and NIH Stroke Scale assessments
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills for multidisciplinary collaboration
• Accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records
• Comfort learning and following facility-specific competency requirements
