Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to patients in the SIMCU unit
• Monitor and assess patient status using clinical judgment and critical thinking
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and patient records
• Follow infection control policies and participate in required competency testing
• Support patient and family education to promote recovery and well-being
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and safety initiatives

Qualifications

• Active RN license eligible for practice in Ohio (License/Certificate Verification required)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist
• Ability to complete required health screenings and immunizations (TB, COVID-19, MMR, Hep B, Tdap, influenza, varicella)
• Successful completion of Trinity 10 panel drug screen and fit testing as required
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking and communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of intermediate care nursing practices and monitoring
• Skilled in patient assessment, medication administration and documentation
• Comfortable working with telemetry and complex patient monitoring
• Infection prevention and control best practices
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Team-oriented mindset with strong interpersonal and communication skills
