Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality respiratory care and ventilator management to acute care patients
• Assess patients, perform ABG analysis, and adjust therapy based on clinical data
• Manage advanced airway interventions and troubleshoot respiratory equipment
• Implement infection prevention and control practices including appropriate PPE use
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the medical record
• Participate in Trinity specialty competency testing and maintain skills via checklists
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and the multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on respiratory care plans, home therapies, and safe discharge instructions

Qualifications

• Active Respiratory Therapy license or ability to obtain state licensure in Ohio
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Successful completion of License/Certificate Verification and required competency testing
• Ability to pass Fit Test, Trinity 10 Panel Drug Screen, and required health screenings
• Up-to-date immunizations as required: COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Varicella, Tdap, and TB screening (2-step PPD or IGRA)
• Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and patient-focused care approach
• Comfortable with fast onboarding and long-term travel assignment expectations

Knowledge & Skills

• Ventilator management and advanced respiratory support
• Arterial blood gas interpretation and oxygen therapy titration
• Airway management and emergency respiratory interventions
• Proficient patient assessment and individualized care planning
• Equipment troubleshooting and safe operation of respiratory devices
• Accurate clinical documentation and familiarity with electronic medical records
• Infection control practices and adherence to facility protocols
• Clear communication and collaboration within interdisciplinary teams
