Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality patient care and clinical assessments
• Administer medications and treatments safely and in accordance with policies
• Respond to on-call needs and support teammates during holiday rotations
• Document patient status and interventions accurately in the medical record
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care plans
• Maintain competency through Trinity Skills Checklist and specialty testing
• Uphold infection control standards and complete required health screenings

Qualifications

• Current RN license (state licensure required; ability to obtain Iowa RN license preferred)
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Completion of Trinity Skills Checklist and Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing
• Meet personal health requirements (2-step PPD or IGRA, COVID vaccination, MMR, Hep B, Influenza, Varicella, Tdap, physical, 10-panel drug screen)
• Fit test and Trinity Color Vision verification as required
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotations and holiday schedules

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient assessment and clinical decision-making skills
• Proficiency in medication administration and common nursing procedures
• Comfort with on-call triage and rapid response situations
• Accurate documentation and familiarity with electronic health records
• Infection prevention, immunization compliance, and occupational health requirements
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills in fast-paced settings
• Ability to complete Trinity-specific competency testing and checklists
