Roles & Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray/fluoroscopy equipment and provide high-quality imaging during cardiovascular procedures
- Assist the interventional cardiology team during catheterization and other invasive procedures
- Monitor and support patient safety, including preparing patients and monitoring vital signs
- Maintain sterile technique and ensure procedural areas are set up correctly
- Document procedures accurately in the patient record and communicate findings to the care team
- Perform routine equipment checks and help maintain radiation safety standards
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and technologists to optimize patient outcomes
- Participate in quality improvement and adhere to institutional policies and protocols
Qualifications
- Current and unrestricted Washington State Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist certification (required)
- Current Washington State X-Ray Technician Registration (required)
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Certified Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (CCIS) OR Washington State Radiologic Technologist with ARRT certification (required options)
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider ACLS certification (required)
- Comfortable working 4x10s day shift schedule; strong teamwork and communication skills
- Prior cardiovascular lab experience is a plus and will help you hit the ground running
Knowledge & Skills
- Fluoroscopy and X-ray operation with attention to radiation safety
- Cardiovascular invasive procedure workflow and sterile technique
- ACLS knowledge and the ability to respond to urgent events
- Patient positioning, monitoring, and basic hemodynamic understanding
- Strong documentation skills and familiarity with electronic medical records
- Team-oriented mindset and clear communication under pressure
