Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered nursing care throughout the endoscopy process
• Perform pre-procedure assessments and educate patients and families on expectations
• Monitor patient vital signs, sedation status, and recovery closely and safely
• Assist physicians and the endoscopy team during procedures with sterile technique
• Provide post-procedure care, discharge teaching, and clear documentation in the medical record
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient flow and safety
• Respond professionally and promptly when assigned on-call or float duties

Qualifications

• Active WA State Registered Nurse License (required)
• Current ACLS card from the American Heart Association (required)
• Registered Nurse (RN) credential
• Experience or familiarity with endoscopy and peri-procedural patient care (preferred)
• Comfort with floating to support unit needs and participating in on-call rotation
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a fast-paced procedural environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of endoscopy procedures, instrumentation, and sterile technique
• Patient assessment and monitoring during sedation and recovery
• Infection control practices specific to procedural areas
• Accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Effective teamwork, communication, and adaptability in changing situations
• Ability to prioritize, triage, and respond to urgent patient needs
