Shift Type: Rotating day and evening shifts with option of 4×10s or 5×8s. 4×10 options: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM or 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM. 5×8 options: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM, or 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM. On-call rotation: one weeknight per week and every 5th weekend. Shift type: rotating (day/evening).

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality circulator nursing care before, during, and after surgical procedures
• Coordinate the OR team and maintain sterile technique throughout procedures
• Advocate for patients and ensure their comfort, safety, and dignity
• Prepare and verify surgical supplies, instruments, and equipment for each case
• Document perioperative care accurately in the patient record and communicate handoffs clearly
• Participate in on-call rotation and help cover weekend and evening needs as scheduled
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and perioperative staff to optimize patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Current RN license (Vermont licensure required or ability to obtain prior to start)
• Prior experience as an Operating Room circulator or perioperative RN
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS and/or CNOR preferred
• Comfort working in a fast-paced surgical environment and participating in on-call rotations
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of sterile technique, surgical instrumentation, and perioperative protocols
• Ability to anticipate surgical team needs and efficiently manage supplies
• Skilled in patient assessment, intraoperative monitoring, and documentation
• Familiarity with OR safety practices, infection control, and surgical workflows
• Comfortable using electronic medical records and clear verbal handoffs
