Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform OB/GYN ultrasound exams with compassion and clinical precision to support diagnoses
• Apply ultrasonic imaging techniques in OB/GYN and related areas such as abdomen and neurosonology when required
• Demonstrate anatomy clearly for interpretation or intervention at the request of licensed practitioners
• Exercise professional judgment during procedures and maintain ethical, patient-centered care
• Provide appropriate patient care throughout the imaging process and recognize conditions that may affect successful completion
• Collaborate with clinical teams and float to other departments as needed to ensure consistent patient coverage

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CAHEA-accredited sonography program or equivalent
• Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or an equivalent approved certification
• Licensed in the State of Oregon as an Ultrasonographer or Radiologic Technologist/Sonographer
• Experience performing OB/GYN sonography and ultrasonic imaging
• Comfortable floating to other departments where qualified to provide patient care

Education

• Graduate of a Committee of Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) accredited sonography program or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong OB/GYN sonography and ultrasonic imaging skills
• Proficient in sonographic imaging, anatomy interpretation, and patient care
• Ability to exercise professional judgment during diagnostic procedures
• Familiarity with abdominal sonography and neurosonology principles (nice-to-have)
• Adaptability to float between departments and work collaboratively with clinical teams
