Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming) with dignity and compassion
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
• Support safe patient transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics
• Provide attentive bedside care and offer comfort to patients and families
• Document care and observations clearly in the patient record
• Maintain infection control standards and a clean, safe environment
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver excellent care

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (or eligible) — must be able to work in North Carolina
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Successful completion of background check and required immunizations
• Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and teamwork mindset
• Comfortable with hands-on patient care and basic charting

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of an approved CNA program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Skill in assisting with ADLs and patient hygiene
• Knowledge of infection control and patient safety practices
• Ability to take and accurately record vital signs
• Familiarity with basic charting/EMR documentation
• Strong interpersonal skills and calmness under pressure
• Time management and ability to prioritize patient needs
