Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care at point of service
- Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate changes to the care team
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Document patient care and clinical observations clearly and timely
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff to develop effective care plans
- Support patient mobility, wound care, and activities of daily living as needed
- Contribute to a positive, safety-focused culture and assist with unit initiatives
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license for the state of Maryland (or compact RN) in good standing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS or other certifications a plus
- Comfortable working in a rehabilitation/skilled nursing or long-term care setting
- Strong clinical judgment, effective communication skills, and teamwork mindset
- Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Diploma in nursing considered with appropriate licensure
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in patient assessment, medication administration, and wound care
- Knowledge of infection control practices and safety protocols
- Proficient with clinical documentation and electronic health record systems
- Strong prioritization, time management, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to teach and support patients and families through recovery
