Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
• Assist with mobility, transfers and safe patient positioning to prevent injury
• Maintain clear, timely documentation to support continuity of care
• Support infection control and cleanliness to protect residents and staff
• Communicate respectfully with residents and families to build trust and comfort
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver great outcomes

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — required
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred
• Comfortable assisting with personal care, transfers, and basic clinical tasks
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, patient-first attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of a state-approved CNA program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in assisting with ADLs including bathing, dressing and feeding
• Competent at taking vital signs and observing/reporting clinical changes
• Familiar with basic infection control principles and safe patient handling
• Strong documentation and time management skills
• Team-oriented with excellent interpersonal and resident-centered care skills
