Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care and assist residents with activities of daily living
- Take and document vital signs and report changes in condition to the nursing team
- Follow individualized care plans and help ensure patient comfort and dignity
- Support safe resident transfers and mobility with proper body mechanics
- Communicate clearly with residents, families, and interdisciplinary staff
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the charting system
- Adhere to infection control protocols and facility policies to keep everyone safe
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) - required
- T-CNA recognized as an acceptable credential for this role
- Travel CNA experience is a plus and shows you can adapt quickly
- Active eligibility to work in New Mexico and meet facility onboarding requirements
- Strong communication skills and a patient-first attitude
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in resident care, ADLs, and safe patient handling
- Knowledge of vital sign measurement and basic clinical observations
- Familiarity with infection prevention best practices
- Comfortable with documentation and electronic charting workflows
- Ability to work collaboratively within a nursing team and follow directions
- Compassion, patience, and cultural sensitivity for a diverse resident population
