Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and design individualized occupational therapy treatment plans that promote independence
- Deliver evidence-based interventions to improve activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Complete evaluations, progress notes, and discharge documentation in line with facility and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with nursing, rehab, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient-centered care
- Educate patients and families on therapy goals, adaptive techniques, and safety to support long-term outcomes
Qualifications
- Active California Occupational Therapist license in good standing
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- Skilled nursing or rehabilitation experience preferred
- Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
Knowledge & Skills
- Clinical assessment and development of OT treatment plans
- Evidence-based interventions for ADLs and functional independence
- Thorough documentation and regulatory compliance
- Interdisciplinary collaboration and patient/family education
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
