Roles & Responsibilities

Provide physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help patients regain function
Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, gait training, and functional mobility activities to improve independence
Observe and report patient progress and response to treatment to the supervising PT to ensure care continuity
Complete accurate and timely documentation per facility and regulatory requirements to maintain high-quality records
Educate patients and families on exercises, safety, and functional mobility strategies to support long-term outcomes

Qualifications

Active California Physical Therapist Assistant license in good standing
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
Skilled Nursing or rehab experience preferred
Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
Ability to adapt in a fast-paced clinical environment

Education

Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in physical therapy treatments and therapeutic exercise techniques
Proficient with documentation and compliance in clinical settings
Experience with gait training and functional mobility activities
Ability to observe, assess, and report patient progress accurately
Strong interpersonal skills for patient and family education
Organizational skills and teamwork in a rehab/skilled nursing environment
Adaptability to fast-paced clinical workflows
