Roles & Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the rehabilitation department to ensure smooth, high-quality care
- Lead, mentor, and support therapy staff (PT, OT, SLP, and assistants) to build a strong, motivated team
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations to maintain high standards and minimize risk
- Manage productivity, scheduling, and staffing efficiency to optimize patient care and team workload
- Collaborate with facility leadership to drive quality patient outcomes and strategic initiatives
- Monitor documentation, billing accuracy, and clinical performance metrics to support continuous improvement
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and staff retention initiatives to sustain a talented workforce
Qualifications
- Licensed PT, OT, or SLP (required)
- Previous Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) or rehab leadership experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of skilled nursing facility (SNF) and rehab operations and compliance standards
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Deep understanding of SNF/rehab operations and regulatory compliance (state and federal)
- Proven team leadership and staff development skills
- Experience with productivity management, scheduling, and staffing efficiency
- Familiarity with clinical documentation, billing accuracy, and performance/quality metrics
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary facility leadership
