Roles & Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the rehabilitation department to ensure smooth, patient-centered care
- Lead, mentor, and support therapy staff (PT, OT, SLP, and assistants), fostering professional growth and teamwork
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations to maintain high standards
- Manage productivity, scheduling, and staffing efficiency to optimize patient outcomes and workflow
- Collaborate with facility leadership to drive quality patient outcomes and program improvements
- Monitor documentation, billing accuracy, and clinical performance metrics to support operational excellence
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and staff retention initiatives to build and sustain a strong rehab team
Qualifications
- Licensed PT, OT, or SLP (required)
- Previous Director of Rehabilitation or rehab leadership experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of skilled nursing facility and rehab operations and compliance standards
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Leadership and team development to inspire and guide therapy staff
- Clear, effective communication across clinical and administrative teams
- Organizational ability for scheduling, productivity monitoring, and resource management
- Understanding of SNF/rehab operations and regulatory compliance
- Experience with documentation oversight and tracking clinical performance metrics
