Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess patients' functional abilities and needs using evidence-based occupational therapy methods.
- Develop individualized treatment plans to help patients regain independence and reach meaningful goals.
- Deliver hands-on therapy and adaptive technique training to patients and caregivers.
- Collaborate closely with nurses, PTs, SLPs and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care.
- Document progress thoroughly and communicate outcomes to ensure continuity and quality of care.
- Contribute to a positive, encouraging rehabilitation environment that motivates patients every day.
Qualifications
- Class listed as OT | COTA — Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant candidates welcome.
- Open to new graduates — enthusiastic learners are encouraged to apply.
- Available to start the contract on or near 2025-12-22 and commit through 2026-03-23 (14-week assignment).
- Able to work the posted schedule (daily coverage, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM).
- Strong communication and teamwork skills suited to a rehab-focused facility (Powerback).
Knowledge & Skills
- Foundational knowledge of occupational therapy principles and rehab techniques (core: Occupational Therapy).
- Skilled in patient assessment, goal-setting, and individualized treatment planning.
- Competence with documentation and care coordination in a clinical setting.
- Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team and support patient-centered care.
- Adaptability to work in a fast-paced, contract travel assignment and handle varied caseloads.
