Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on and therapeutic interventions to support patient mobility and independence
- Assist the supervising PT with treatment plans, progress notes, and measurable goals
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in an inpatient/rehab environment
- Monitor and document patient progress, communicating changes to the clinical team
- Collaborate with nurses, case managers and other therapists to ensure coordinated care
- Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and safe mobility techniques
Qualifications
- Licensed PTA in the state of Pennsylvania (or ability to obtain state license prior to start)
- BLS/CPR certification required (or willingness to obtain before starting)
- Comfortable working in an inpatient/rehab setting (Powerback—contract facility)
- Ability to pass background check and meet facility onboarding requirements
- Reliable, professional, and team-oriented with strong communication skills
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program (Associate degree or equivalent)
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in therapeutic exercise, gait training, transfers, and modalities appropriate for rehab
- Strong documentation skills and familiarity with rehab-focused clinical charting
- Ability to follow treatment plans developed by supervising PT and adjust safely
- Good time management and prioritization in a fast-paced clinical setting
- Patient education techniques and family/caregiver coaching for discharge planning
