Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ mobility, strength, balance and functional needs and develop individualized treatment plans
• Deliver therapeutic interventions to restore movement, reduce pain, and improve independence
• Document patient progress clearly and timely in the medical record to support continuity of care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care
• Educate patients and families on home programs and injury prevention to maximize outcomes
• Participate in team meetings and discharge planning to achieve safe transitions

Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license (or eligible) for practice in California
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification or willingness to obtain
• Clinical experience in physical therapy settings (inpatient, outpatient, or rehab) preferred
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with patients and interdisciplinary teams
• Active professional liability coverage as required by facility policy or ability to obtain

Education

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; Bachelor's or Master's in Physical Therapy where applicable

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in musculoskeletal and neuromuscular assessment and treatment techniques
• Proficient with therapeutic exercise prescription and functional mobility training
• Comfortable with documentation systems and meeting regulatory documentation standards
• Able to provide patient education and create practical home exercise programs
• Good time management, clinical reasoning, and interpersonal teamwork skills
