Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
• Monitor and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team promptly
• Take and record vital signs accurately and communicate findings to supervisors
• Support resident mobility and fall prevention efforts to promote safety and independence
• Document care activities clearly and timely in resident charts and care plans
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to deliver person-centered care
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents

Qualifications

• Active GNA (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) certification (required)
• Comfort and experience working overnight/night shift assignments
• Compassionate, patient-focused approach with strong communication skills
• Ability to follow facility policies and work collaboratively with nursing staff
• Background check and health screening per facility policy may be required

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• GNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of geriatric care principles and common age-related conditions
• Skill in assisting with ADLs and supporting resident mobility
• Basic vital sign measurement and documentation
• Infection control and safe patient handling practices
• Clear verbal and written communication with residents and clinical teams
• Teamwork, reliability, and attention to resident dignity and safety
