Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, resident-centered nursing care in a long term care setting
- Perform thorough assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate resident care
- Document clinical observations and interventions clearly in the medical record
- Educate residents and families about care plans and health management
- Respond promptly to changes in resident condition and escalate when needed
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in New York State
- Experience or strong interest in Long Term Care nursing (posting emphasizes LTC)
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required or obtainable
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to complete clinical documentation in EMR systems
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in resident assessment and care planning
- Medication administration and monitoring
- Wound care fundamentals and basic clinical procedures
- Strong documentation practices and familiarity with electronic records
- Ability to work collaboratively with nursing assistants, therapists, and physicians
- Good time management and prioritization on 10-hour shifts
