Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver patient-centered care using the nursing process: assess, plan, implement, evaluate
- Perform thorough patient assessments and implement appropriate nursing interventions
- Provide perioperative and post-operative care for pediatric and adult patients
- Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary teams to achieve desired patient outcomes
- Lead clinically on the unit and assist with precepting new staff and colleagues
- Manage discharge planning from admission through discharge to support safe transitions
- Give direction to LPNs, CNAs, housekeeping, and dietary staff to coordinate care
- Follow and implement established policies and procedures with minimal supervision
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) — active and unrestricted license
- Med/Surg nursing experience caring for pediatric and adult patients, including perioperative care
- Demonstrated clinical leadership and precepting experience
- Ability to assess, implement, and follow policies and procedures independently
- Comfort working in hospital and ambulatory service center environments
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with providers and unit leadership

- Discharge planning and coordination of care
- Perioperative and hospital nursing best practices
- Clinical leadership, team coordination, and precepting skills
