Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered care using the nursing process: assess, plan, implement, evaluate
• Perform thorough patient assessments and implement appropriate nursing interventions
• Provide perioperative and post-operative care for pediatric and adult patients
• Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary teams to achieve desired patient outcomes
• Lead clinically on the unit and assist with precepting new staff and colleagues
• Manage discharge planning from admission through discharge to support safe transitions
• Give direction to LPNs, CNAs, housekeeping, and dietary staff to coordinate care
• Follow and implement established policies and procedures with minimal supervision

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) — active and unrestricted license
• Med/Surg nursing experience caring for pediatric and adult patients, including perioperative care
• Demonstrated clinical leadership and precepting experience
• Ability to assess, implement, and follow policies and procedures independently
• Comfort working in hospital and ambulatory service center environments
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with providers and unit leadership

• Discharge planning and coordination of care
• Perioperative and hospital nursing best practices
• Clinical leadership, team coordination, and precepting skills
