Contract Type: Perm
Shift Type: Rotating schedule — one week on / one week off (7 days on, 7 days off); rounding with call from home; coverage includes day and night clinical responsibilities as needed

Roles & Responsibilities
- Oversee and lead the Level III, 10-bed NICU practice to ensure excellent, family-centered neonatal care
- Provide clinical coverage for the NICU and manage on-call responsibilities during assigned weeks
- Collaborate closely with hospital administration and the regional management team to align clinical and operational goals
- Mentor and grow physicians and advanced practice providers through hands-on guidance and professional development
- Drive quality improvement, patient safety initiatives, and evidence-based protocols in neonatal care
- Represent the service line in hospital and community leadership activities to promote program growth
- Manage physician oversight, scheduling, and on-call systems to maintain high-quality coverage
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree with completed fellowship in Neonatology
- Board certified or board eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine
- Active or eligible Georgia medical license (ability to obtain state licensure required)
- Experience in Level III NICU clinical care and NICU program leadership
- Strong clinical leadership, mentorship, and physician oversight experience
- Comfortable collaborating with hospital administration, NNP teams, and regional leadership
- Willingness to live within the immediate local area; relocation may be required
- Visa sponsorship available — open to J-1 and H-1B candidates (applicants requiring sponsorship are eligible to apply)
Education
- MD or DO with Neonatology fellowship completion
- Board certified/board eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine
- State medical licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure
Knowledge & Skills
- Deep neonatal clinical knowledge and NICU management expertise
- Clinical leadership and physician oversight skills
- Experience with team-based care including collaboration with NNPs
- Familiarity with quality improvement, patient safety, and evidence-based protocols
- Strong communication, teaching and mentorship abilities
- Ability to work with hospital administration and regional management to meet operational goals
- Comfort with electronic medical records and clinical documentation workflows
