Radiologic Technologist - Neuro Interventional
Location: Columbus, OH
Start Date: 01-12-2026
End Date: 04-13-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM Day, 4x10 schedule; on-call coverage required for after-hours and weekends (minimum 125 hours of call per month)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $81 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Set up the hybrid OR/interventional suite and prepare specialized equipment for neuro endovascular cases
- Assist neurosurgeons during diagnostic cerebral angiograms, stroke interventions, aneurysm and AVM treatments, and carotid stenting
- Operate and troubleshoot fluoroscopy/C-arm systems (Siemens) and manage PACS imaging workflows
- Perform EKG lead placement and hemodynamic monitoring as part of peri-procedural care
- Serve as scrub and room circulator, maintaining strict sterile technique throughout procedures
- Prep vascular access sites and assist with vascular closure systems such as Perclose and StarClose
- Recognize and respond to life-threatening arrhythmias and other emergent changes in patient condition
- Document procedural and peri-procedural care accurately in Epic
- Provide compassionate, age-appropriate care for adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
- Participate fully in on-call responsibilities and respond promptly to after-hours emergencies
Qualifications
- ARRT certification required (ARRT VI preferred)
- BLS required; ACLS preferred
- State Radiologic Technologist license (must be active)
- Minimum 1 year of Neuro Interventional experience required
- Trauma Level I experience required
- Travel experience required (you will be working a travel/contract assignment)
- Epic documentation experience preferred
- Comfortable working in a teaching hospital setting and supporting trainees
Knowledge & Skills
- Angiography and diagnostic cerebral angiograms
- Carotid stenting, stent placement and angioplasty
- Thrombectomy/thrombolysis and acute stroke interventions
- Embolization techniques and vascular studies/procedures
- Fluoroscopy operation (Siemens) and C-Arm use
- PACS image management and Epic documentation
- Sterile technique, room circulation and scrub responsibilities
- Vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose)
- Vertebroplasty and kyphoplasty experience
- EKG lead placement, hemodynamic monitoring and isolation precautions
