Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (Day/Night), 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM; typically 3x12s per week with block scheduling; includes every 3rd weekend and holidays as needed
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $81 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality Labor & Delivery and postpartum nursing care for mother/baby couplets, following AWHONN guidelines
- Monitor fetal status using OB Trace Vue and respond promptly to changes
- Titrate IV drips safely and confidently (e.g., magnesium, oxytocin) and manage common antepartum/postpartum medications
- Troubleshoot neonatal respiratory support devices (CPAP, BiPAP, high-flow) and collaborate with respiratory therapy and providers
- Document accurately and timely in Meditech to ensure continuity of care
- Coordinate care during C-sections by circulating for the baby and communicating with the surgical team
- Float to MSP/ED as needed to provide one-to-one patient care and assist the team during busy times
- Serve as a professional bedside advocate and educator for patients and their families
Qualifications
- Current RN license in good standing (ND license or eligibility to obtain)
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
- Current BLS, ACLS and NRP certifications required
- Experience titrating IV drips and managing common OB meds (magnesium, oxytocin, etc.)
- Comfort with neonatal CPAP/BiPAP/high-flow and basic troubleshooting
- Familiarity with OB Trace Vue EFM and Meditech charting
- Team player with solid communication skills and the ability to work independently in a rural setting
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or diploma in nursing required; BSN preferred but not required
Knowledge & Skills
- Labor & Delivery and Postpartum nursing practices
- Electronic fetal monitoring (OB Trace Vue) interpretation and documentation
- IV drip titration and medication administration in OB populations
- Neonatal respiratory support basics: CPAP, BiPAP, high-flow
- Meditech electronic charting proficiency
- AWHONN guidelines for unit ratios and safe staffing
- Ability to float and adapt to MSP/ED environments
- Charge nurse familiarity and effective shift communication
