Roles & Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize pots, pans, cooking equipment, floors, and other kitchen surfaces using approved chemicals and following manufacturer guidelines
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and report any issues to keep the kitchen safe and operational
• Handle and store cleaning chemicals safely and according to established protocols
• Support the food service team by maintaining a hygienic, organized, and efficient kitchen environment
• Complete required checklists and competency testing to demonstrate job readiness and compliance
• Follow infection control and health screening requirements to protect patients and staff

Qualifications

• DCI/BVP certification (required)
• Food Handlers Certification (required)
• Successful completion of Prime Core Competencies Exam and Prime Skills Checklist
• Clear Prime drug screen (minimum 10-panel) and color-blind test as required
• Up-to-date health requirements: COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza vaccine, Varicella, Tdap, TB testing or documentation
• Ability to follow manufacturer guidelines for cleaning and equipment care
• Reliable attendance and ability to work a schedule that includes weekends

Knowledge & Skills

• Practical knowledge of kitchen sanitation and chemical handling
• Familiarity with cleaning procedures for pots, pans, and cooking equipment
• Basic equipment maintenance awareness and ability to report concerns
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and infection control
• Good teamwork and communication skills in a fast-paced environment
• Time management to complete daily cleaning and checklist requirements
