Registered Nurse - LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum)

Location: Dickinson, North Dakota

Start Date: 06-29-2026

End Date: 09-28-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, typically 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, block scheduling, every third weekend, holidays as needed

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $81 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to laboring mothers and newborn babies in a rural LDRP unit
Monitor and support patients during labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum phases
Administer and titrate medications including Magnesium, Oxytocin, and pain management drips
Utilize EFM (electronic fetal monitoring) to ensure fetal well-being
Collaborate with a close-knit team in a fast-paced, independent environment
Float to Medical Surgical and Emergency Department as needed for sitting assignments

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent LDRP or L&D experience required
Active RN license in North Dakota or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
Experience with titrating drips and EFM interpretation
Ability to work in a rural hospital setting with limited resources
Must pass fit testing for N95 respirator (no facial hair allowed)

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in labor and delivery nursing and postpartum care
Proficient in EFM and OB Trace Vue system
Skilled in titrating antepartum and postpartum medications
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Ability to work independently and make critical decisions
