Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer - Radiology

Location: Austin, Texas

Start Date: 06-15-2026

End Date: 09-14-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, with overnight call on day of shift 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM and weekends depending on shift hired

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform a wide variety of ultrasound and sonography procedures with precision and care
Support stroke and trauma patients in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
Collaborate with a skilled team of 40+ imaging techs and CT nurses
Operate advanced GE, Philips, and Siemens equipment to deliver accurate diagnostic images
Maintain calm professionalism while delivering exceptional patient care during critical moments

Qualifications

Current BLS, ARRT, TMB, RDMS, and NMTCB certifications required
At least 1 year of ultrasound/sonography experience preferred
Strong scanning skills with trauma and stroke experience highly valued
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high-acuity patients
Flexible attitude and excellent teamwork abilities

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in Ultrasound and Sonography techniques
Proficiency with GE, Philips, and Siemens imaging equipment
Strong understanding of Radiology protocols and procedures
Ability to handle stroke and trauma cases with confidence
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
