Ultrasound Technologist - Radiology
Location: Manchester, NH
Start Date: 12-22-2025
End Date: 03-23-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Night shift, 9:00 PM - 7:00 AM (Night). Specific days of week not specified; position is night-focused with second-shift coverage beginning after 7:30 PM and weekend coverage handled by weekend staff.
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams across general, vascular and OB-GYN areas using Siemens Acuson S200 and GE Logiq E10
- Recognize and document normal versus abnormal anatomy and pathology to support timely clinical decisions
- Assist with ultrasound-guided procedures such as biopsies, drainages and OR placements with precision and safety
- Capture, label and transmit images to PACS (InteleRad) and document findings in the EMR (Allscripts)
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to a diverse patient population from pediatrics to geriatrics
- Communicate effectively with technologists, radiologists and the multidisciplinary care team to coordinate patient care
- Adhere to departmental protocols, maintain equipment readiness and follow infection control and safety policies
- Act as a positive team member—willing to teach, learn and support peers while maintaining professionalism
Qualifications
- RDMS (registered diagnostic medical sonographer) required
- NH MIRT Licensure required for practice in New Hampshire
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of clinical ultrasound experience, preferably in hospital or acute care settings
- Exposure to general, vascular and OB-GYN sonography is expected
- Comfort with ultrasound-guided procedures and OR support is a strong plus
- Additional certifications such as RVT, OB-GYN specialty or AB are preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of sonographic physics, techniques and image optimization
- Ability to recognize normal anatomy and identify pathology across modalities
- Experience with PACS (InteleRad) and EMR documentation (Allscripts)
- Familiarity with Siemens Acuson S200 and GE Logiq E10 systems
- Skill performing procedures such as FNAs, biopsies, drainages and thrombin injections
- Good patient communication, teamwork and the ability to work independently in fast-paced settings
- Comfort working across ages from pediatric to geriatric patients
