Surgical Tech - CVOR

Location: Sacramento, CA

Start Date: 07-07-2026

End Date: 10-06-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Five 8-hour shifts with varied hours (6 AM or 10 AM start), overnight call once a week, and weekend call 3 days per month.

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $52 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare operating rooms and ensure sterile field for cardiovascular surgeries
Assist surgeons during procedures, handling instruments and equipment
Anticipate surgeon needs and pass instruments efficiently
Prepare and position patients for surgery
Monitor and document surgical counts
Collaborate with surgical team to maintain a safe environment

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required
BLS and NIHSS certifications required
First-time travelers welcome
Charge experience preferred
Ability to interpret EKG strips

Knowledge & Skills

Strong CVOR skills and confidence in fast-paced environments
Proficient in Cerner EMR
Knowledge of cardiovascular surgical procedures (CABG, valves, etc.)
Ability to float to other Sacramento facilities as needed
