Shift Type: Day 4x10, 07:45 AM - 06:00 PM (4 shifts per week; specific weekdays vary)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate and provide skilled speech-language therapy for pediatric outpatients using standardized tools (CELF, PLS-4, Rossetti)
- Develop, implement, and manage individualized plans of care and reassessments to track progress
- Provide family-centered education and coaching to empower caregivers in therapy carryover
- Use EPIC for accurate documentation, assessment coding, concurrent therapy documentation, and discharge planning
- Deliver interventions for autism, language disorders, fluency, and neurodevelopmental challenges with sensitivity and consistency
- Recommend and implement alternative and augmentative communication devices and communication boards where appropriate
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including PT and interpretation services to coordinate holistic care
- Maintain patient safety by recognizing and responding to signs of physical, sexual, or psychological abuse and following facility guidelines
Qualifications
- Current CCC-SLP credential (Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology)
- State Licensed to practice speech-language pathology in Washington (or ability to obtain state license)
- BLS certification
- Experience in pediatric outpatient settings required — must be comfortable working with children with autism and their families
- Travel experience required — able to work independently and be self-motivated with limited onsite support
- Proficiency with EPIC documentation (EPIC required)
- Experience with assessment and treatment planning, Medicaid documentation, and SLP evaluation coding
- Comfort with a 1:1 patient ratio and a daily caseload consistent with an 8-visit day
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled with standardized evaluation tools: CELF, PLS-4, Rossetti Infant-Toddler Language Scale
- Experience with alternative communication devices, augmentative communication, and communication boards
- Competence in pediatric diagnoses: autism, developmental delays, expressive/receptive language delays, fluency disorders
- Familiarity with dysphagia management basics (bedside swallow evaluation, compensatory strategies) and knowledge of when to refer for MBSS
- Strong documentation and billing knowledge: assessment, plan of care, concurrent therapy documentation, discharge, re-assessments, and SLP coding
- Ability to provide patient/family education and to spot signs & symptoms of abuse
- Comfort collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and using interpretation services when needed
