Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess speech, language, cognitive-communication and swallowing function using evidence-based tools
• Develop individualized treatment plans and measurable goals that improve patient outcomes
• Provide skilled therapy, adapting techniques to each patient’s needs and progress
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, families and caregivers to coordinate care
• Document evaluations, progress notes and discharge summaries accurately and on time
• Educate patients and family members on strategies to support communication and swallowing safety
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• California SLP license or eligible for licensure
• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent
• ASHA CCC-SLP preferred or working toward certification
• Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain if required
• Comfortable with varied caseloads across ages and diagnoses
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in speech, language and swallowing assessment and intervention
• Strong documentation and treatment planning skills
• Familiarity with standard therapy techniques and assistive communication devices
• Ability to collaborate across disciplines and engage families
• Comfort using electronic health records and following compliance standards
• Critical thinking and progress-driven therapy approach
