Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on a busy med/surg unit
Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care with clinical confidence
Administer medications, manage IVs, and monitor patient responses
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate safe discharges
Educate patients and families to promote recovery and prevent readmission
Document accurately and timely in the electronic medical record

Qualifications

Active RN license in Tennessee or a valid Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) license
BLS required; ACLS and other certifications encouraged
Med/Surg experience preferred — your patient-care instincts matter
Strong communication skills and a teamwork mindset
Ability to pass background check and required hospital onboarding

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Solid patient assessment and clinical decision-making
Medication administration and IV therapy competence
Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Time management, prioritization, and delegation skills
Basic quality improvement and safety principles
