Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with rotating weeknight and weekend call

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $82 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist Interventional Radiologists with imaging-guided invasive procedures such as paras, thoras, biopsies, and drainages
Coordinate the IR physician schedule and collaborate with floor nurses and imaging techs
Monitor and sedate patients during procedures, ensuring safety and comfort
Place peripheral IVs and assist with pacemaker insertions
Maintain accurate documentation in Cerner EMR and operate MRI-safe pumps and EKG monitors
Participate in on-call rotation to provide after-hours and weekend coverage

Qualifications

Active California RN license
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
Interventional Radiology experience strongly preferred
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced procedural environment

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in PIV insertion and sedation monitoring
Proficient with EKG monitors and MRI-safe infusion pumps
Comfortable using Cerner electronic medical records
Strong communication and coordination skills
Ability to handle a varied caseload including inpatient, outpatient, and pediatric patients
