Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, every other weekend and holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate emergency nursing care to patients across multiple facilities within Zone 4
Float to various ER departments in Garden City, Dodge City, and Ulysses as needed
Perform triage, assessments, and interventions for a wide range of emergency conditions
Administer medications, start IVs, and monitor patient responses
Collaborate with physicians, mid-levels, and techs to deliver coordinated care
Maintain accurate documentation and uphold patient safety standards

Qualifications

Current, unrestricted RN license in Kansas or compact state
At least 1-2 years of recent Emergency Room experience
ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required
Ability to float to facilities within a 60-mile radius of Garden City
Comfortable with telemetry interpretation and point-of-care lab testing

Knowledge & Skills

Strong triage and critical thinking skills for high-acuity patients
Proficiency in common ER drips, medications, and equipment
Ability to adapt quickly to different unit layouts and workflows
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Flexibility to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays
