Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality respiratory care to patients in accordance with facility protocols
Administer respiratory treatments and therapies safely and effectively
Operate, monitor and troubleshoot respiratory equipment and devices
Document patient assessments, treatments and responses accurately in the medical record
Collaborate with nurses, physicians and the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient care
Participate in orientation activities and contribute to a positive unit culture

Qualifications

Active Respiratory Therapist license in Missouri or the ability to obtain state licensure
CRT or RRT certification preferred
Current Basic Life Support certification, with advanced certifications a plus
Clinical experience in respiratory therapy; comfort with ventilator management and airway care
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively on a care team

Education

Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

Patient respiratory assessment and monitoring
Ventilator management and settings adjustment
Airway management and oxygen therapy
Familiarity with respiratory care equipment and infection control practices
Accurate clinical documentation and time management
Teamwork, problem solving and patient-centered care
