Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality respiratory care and critical care respiratory support for patients with respiratory insufficiencies
• Manage mechanical ventilation and perform ventilator adjustments using devices like Servo I, Hamilton, V60 and Astral
• Perform and interpret ABGs and implement appropriate treatment plans
• Deliver CPAP/BiPAP and nebulizer therapies and monitor patient response
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and physicians to optimize patient outcomes
• Document care accurately in the Meditech EMR and participate in unit quality initiatives
• Support unit workflows during high-volume shifts and contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment

Qualifications

• Current RRT credential (Registered Respiratory Therapist)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of acute care hospital RRT experience (must have)
• Experience with mechanical ventilation and critical care respiratory procedures
• Meditech EMR experience preferred by the director
• Trauma experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Mechanical ventilation management and ventilator modes
• ABG analysis and interpretation
• CPAP and BiPAP setup and management
• Nebulizer therapy and airway clearance techniques (CPT)
• Familiarity with Servo I, Hamilton, V60 and Astral ventilators
• Experience documenting in Meditech EMR
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-focused critical care environment
