Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality respiratory care and treatments to patients across acute care settings
• Assess respiratory status, monitor progress, and adjust treatments as needed
• Operate and troubleshoot ventilators and other respiratory equipment safely and effectively
• Collaborate closely with nurses, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
• Document assessments, treatments, and patient responses clearly and promptly
• Participate in orientation, training, and continuous learning to maintain best practices

Qualifications

• Active Respiratory Therapist license in Missouri (MO) or compact-state eligibility where applicable
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced certifications encouraged
• Credentialed as CRT or RRT preferred
• Comfortable with ventilator management and common respiratory modalities
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a fast-paced clinical team
• Available for orientation as noted in the posting

Education

• Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent from an accredited program; Bachelor’s preferred where applicable
• Completion of accredited RT program and required clinical practicum

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in respiratory assessment and treatment planning
• Experience with mechanical ventilation, airway management, and oxygen therapy
• Skilled in patient monitoring and interpreting blood gas results
• Familiarity with infection control practices and bedside safety protocols
• Able to document clearly in electronic health records and communicate handoffs effectively
