Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to residents with professionalism and heart
Assess, monitor, and document resident condition and changes in status
Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate resident care plans
Educate residents and families about care, treatments, and discharge planning
Participate in facility quality improvement initiatives and safety practices
Maintain accurate EMR/charting and ensure regulatory compliance

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Connecticut or eligible for state licensure
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS or PALS as applicable is a plus
Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehab settings preferred
Strong clinical assessment skills, time management, and teamwork mindset
Current immunizations and ability to meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Clinical assessment and critical thinking
Medication administration and documentation
Electronic medical record (EMR) proficiency
Infection control and resident safety practices
Clear communication with residents, families, and care teams
Wound care and basic restorative nursing principles
