Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide professional, compassionate nursing care to pulmonary patients following established standards and clinic protocols
• Assist providers during examinations and treatment procedures to ensure efficient, safe patient encounters
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and monitor patient responses
• Perform clinical assessments and document findings clearly and timely
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about diagnoses, medications, and self-care plans
• Apply ICD-10 and CPT coding basics to support accurate clinical documentation and billing
• Respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations and participate in office emergency preparedness
• Support patient transfers and safe lifting practices while maintaining patient dignity and comfort

Qualifications

• Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• BLS (Healthcare Provider) certification required and maintained every two years
• One year of nursing experience preferred (clinic or medical office experience a plus)
• Demonstrated ability to perform clinical assessments and administer medications
• Comfort with office procedures, medical terminology, and basic ICD-10/CPT coding
• Ability to communicate clearly with patients, families, and the care team
• Capability to lift/assist patients and occasionally lift items up to 50 pounds

Education

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
