Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac rhythms and intervene promptly for dysrhythmias to keep patients safe
• Manage IV medication infusions and critical drips with precision and strong clinical judgment
• Provide focused PCU care including pre and post cardiac cath and pacer patient management
• Document care accurately and efficiently in Expanse EMR to support continuity and quality
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers and interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families about diagnosis, procedures and post-discharge care to empower recovery
• Float to Med Surg, ICU or ED when needed to support patient flow and broaden your clinical experience

Qualifications

• Active RN license, NH or multi-state compact eligibility preferred
• Minimum 2 years of PCU or progressive care experience
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIAH
• Strong dysrhythmia recognition skills and critical drip management experience
• Experience with telemetry, cardiac monitoring and IV medication administration
• Comfortable working with GE cardiac monitoring and Hospira IV pumps is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry and cardiac monitoring expertise
• Dysrhythmia recognition and ACLS-level intervention skills
• Critical drip titration and IV medication administration
• Familiarity with Expanse EMR documentation
• Pre/post cardiac cath care and pacer patient experience
• Ability to work autonomously, communicate clearly, and collaborate in a team
