Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality critical care to pediatric patients in the PICU
• Assess, monitor, and document patient status and respond to changes promptly
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments accurately and safely
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the multidisciplinary team to develop and execute care plans
• Educate and support families, keeping them informed and involved in bedside care
• Participate in orientation and ongoing training to maintain best practices

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Ohio or eligibility for licensure in Ohio
• Clinical experience or training in pediatric critical care/PICU is preferred
• Current BLS and PALS certifications (or willingness to obtain during orientation)
• Strong assessment and clinical decision-making skills in acute pediatric settings
• Ability to pass required background checks and immunization/screening requirements

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Pediatric critical care knowledge and familiarity with PICU workflows
• Proficiency with medication administration, IV/central line care, and tubing/drip calculations
• Experience with ventilator management and monitoring of complex pediatric patients
• Effective communication with families and interdisciplinary teams
• Comfortable using electronic medical records and documenting timely, accurate charting
